Information we do not collect directly

InterestingTool does not provide user accounts, comments, purchases, subscriptions, or contact forms. We do not ask for your name, postal address, payment information, or profile details while you browse. The site does not currently use advertising pixels, affiliate tracking, or analytics scripts.

Recently viewed articles

When you open a guide, the site may save the guide’s title, URL, category, and image path in your browser’s local storage. This powers the “Viewed Recently” section on the Search page.

• The list is stored only on your device.
• It contains no account identifier and is not sent to InterestingTool.
• The list is limited to the five most recently viewed guides.
• You can remove it by clearing this site’s browser data or local storage.

Hosting and basic access logs

Like most websites, the service that hosts InterestingTool may process technical information needed to deliver pages securely. This can include an IP address, browser type, requested URL, date and time, referring page, and security-related request information.

These records may be used for reliability, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and protecting the site. InterestingTool does not use them to create personal advertising profiles.

Cookies

InterestingTool does not currently set its own tracking or advertising cookies. Our recently viewed feature uses local storage rather than a cookie. If site functionality changes in a way that introduces cookies, this policy will be updated to explain their purpose.

Third-party resources

The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these files, Google may receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser details. Google handles that information under its own privacy terms.

Articles may link to websites that InterestingTool does not operate. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own practices and policies; this policy applies only to InterestingTool.

Email correspondence

If you email contact@interestingtool.com, we receive the address you use, the message you send, and any information you choose to include. We use it only to read and respond to your request, investigate a correction, or consider a guide suggestion.

Your email provider also processes the message under its own terms. Please do not send passwords, payment details, identification documents, or other sensitive information.

Data sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be handled by infrastructure providers only as needed to operate and protect the site or email service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights and safety of the site and its users.

Data retention and security

Browser history stored by the recently viewed feature remains on your device until it is replaced by newer entries or you clear it. Email correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond, document a correction, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.

We use reasonable measures to protect the site and correspondence, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children’s privacy

InterestingTool is written for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information can contact us to request its removal.

Your choices

You can disable or clear local storage through your browser settings, choose not to email us, and avoid opening external links. Depending on where you live, privacy law may also give you rights concerning personal information held about you. Contact us if you want to ask about, correct, or delete information you previously sent by email.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy when the site’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.
